In addition to her increasingly successful musical career, Victoria ‘La Mala’ is deeply committed to supporting her community, especially young girls with big dreams. With that in mind, in 2015 the artist launched the #TeamMalaPromGiveaway initiative in Los Angeles to provide teenage girls with a beautiful prom dress and everything they need for them to have an unforgettable night. Victoria wants to make sure that every girl gets the opportunity to attend and enjoy important high school experiences such as prom, even if resources are limited.
“As a daughter of a single mom, I know how hard it can be for families to make ends meet and afford school expenses. Prom is such an important milestone… I want to make it a reality for teenage girls who have not only earned the honor of graduating high school, but are also pushing to do amazing things in their future” – Victoria ‘La Mala’
On March 26th, Victoria ‘La Mala’ will select 50 girls from all submitted applications and on April 14th, she will host a celebratory event for the winners, where the girls will pick up their prom dresses and other items. Thanks to #TeamMalaPromGiveaway a great group of young women will be able to have the prom night they always dreamed of having.
