Ayo Lii

Hailing from Milwaukee's east side, AyooLii is a foundational rapper to the city's lowend rap scene. With raps and a production style that is wildly creative and otherworldly, AyooLii has helped usher in a vibrancy to the burgeoning hip-hop scene, driven by frenetic handclaps and punched-in one liners. Equally inspired by the Congolese afrobeats of Dr. Sakis and the sharp-tongued similes of Lil Wayne, AyooLii threads the needle between high energy street poetry and uptempo, youth-driven dance music. Originally getting into music through making parody songs and comedy skits, AyooLii saw a new vision when he began to honor his sister’s taste for Disney pop. A chance meeting with Certified Trapper changed his trajectory, leading to the viral “Spenders” music video. He positioned himself as one of the top rising artists in Milwaukee, penning hits such as “Schmackin Town”, “Perc 10” and “Jungle”.
