Mamii

Mamii is a multi-instrumentalist, artist, and songwriter born and raised in Indiana. Growing up surrounded by musicians, Mamii gained inspiration from iconic figures like Prince, Frank Ocean, and Stevie Wonder. Her debut album, Black Phoeniix, released in 2021, displays her textured harmonies, soulful melodies, and introspective lyrics. At 17, Mamii gained recognition when the R&B group The Internet reposted her cover of their song “Come Over” on Instagram, quickly capturing the attention of artists Omar Apollo, Steve Lacy, Jacob Collier and many others. Recently, Ones to Watch highlighted Mamii’s artistry with the anticipation of her upcoming EP Phantasmagoria. Mamii’s journey goes beyond her solo work, as she has secured notable collaborations with acclaimed artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Syd, and Westside Boogie. With her vocals sampled on Ty Dolla $ign’s verse “Talking” on Kanye West’s Vulture album, multiple placements on Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter album, (“My Rose,” “Flamenco,” “Bodyguard”), and three placements on Kehlani’s recent album Crash, Mamii has proven to be an upcoming songwriter on the rise.
