Congratulations are in order for Peter Ibsen, the Roc Nation songwriter/producer who wrote and produced the current UK hit “Young” by Tulisa through his STL production company.
Check out the video for the track below:
Born and raised in a small town in Denmark, Neros spent a large part of his teens developing his unprecedented interest in music, including the inner workings, arrangements and sound-scaping. With that, his understanding and craft as a songwriter, producer, engineer and instrumentalist also developed.
After finishing university, aged 22, he moved to London and soon found himself working with up-and-coming artists from the London music and arts scene.
With his great ear and eye for talent, he developed girl group ‘Made In London’, helping them land a record deal with RCA records. Demonstrating his song-writing, producing and entrepreneurial skills, he also secured himself a publishing deal at Warner Chappell.
In 2009, Neros signed to Jay Z’s newly founded Roc Nation as one of the first writer/producers on their roster and almost immediately started writing for superstar acts such as Rihanna and Rita Ora. Neros continues his close work relationship with Roc Nation to date.
The list of other famous collaborations and credits to his name include James Blunt, Lana Del Ray, Jessie J, Rita Ora, MN8, Liam Howlett, Duffy, Sugarbabes, Victoria Beckham, BTS, Tritan Prettyman, Ginuwine, Greg Wells, Liberty X, Alex & Brit, Amanda Ghost, No Angels and Babyface to name a few. He has been instrumental in the development of new acts such as Charlotte OC and The Harajuku Girls. He has composed music for films including Lady In The Water, The Da Vinci Code, Crossover, Love & Other Disasters, and numerous acclaimed TV shows and series.
In 2012, Neros form the production and entertainment company Sky’s The Limit Entertainment (STL). STL enjoyed immediate success with writing and producing Tulisa’s No.1 smash hit “Young” which went on to be the 3rd biggest-selling single of the year and placed STL on Music Week’s Top 30 producer/writers of the 2nd quarter. STL also undertook the massive task of arranging the first ever highly-acclaimed Urban Classic’s BBC Proms featuring several of the UK’s top urban artists (including Richard himself) performing their songs with the 100+ piece BBC Concert Orchestra with full BBC coverage.
Following all, STL has since had numerous successes with Jessie J, Tulisa, Alexa Goddard and Fazer solo projects, while Neros individually with Lana Del Ray, penning and producing Duffy’s comback single “Whole Lotta Love”, (the title song for Working Title’s latest Kray’s film “Legend”), newcomer sencation Goldilox, Asian artist Namie Amuro and K-pop supergroup BTS (co-writing and recording for the recordbreaking and multiplatinum “Wings” album and lastly their new lead single “Spring Day” for BTS’s latest album, setting all kinds of records for a K-pop artist in the charts world wide.
Neros’ vast knowledge and experience of the music industry and love for sourcing, developing and mentoring new talent has led him into becoming an Artist Manager as well and STL’s evolution into becoming a fully fledged production company, signing their own artists, producers, writers and creatives; and with several already in developement, and a couple already enjoing success in the ever changing music industry, expect an emergence of Neros’ and STL’s own superstars very soon.
Additional to all of the above, Neros has secured several brand associations with high-end technology and fashion brands. With his unparalleled passion and knowledge for great sound, quality, beatuiful and functional design and true values, Neros recently founded and became CEO of ARCS Audio, a progressive tech company, producing uncompromising and amazing audio products while maintaining an equally important social mission; always looking for and pushing the boundaries on helping and finding new solutions for the global challenges we face today and in the future. Similarly, ARCS is also involved with grassroots music development and charities focused on the most basic values of sound and hearing. With exclusive and highly developed tech-products soon to be announced and incorporating all of the above values, ARCS (and its a-list endorseres) are truly set to establish new standards and benchmarks for audio products, company practices and philosophies. A modern movement!
