Third baseman Miguel Sano is a budding superstar with the Minnesota Twins. Sano hit 43 home runs in just 196 games in his first two seasons in Major League Baseball.

 

A native of San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic, Sano signed as an amateur free agent with the Twins in 2009.

 

Sano made his MLB debut on July 2, 2015 and hit .269 with 18 home runs and 52 RBI in only 80 games. Sano became the fastest player to hit 10 home runs in Minnesota Twins history, and posted the fourth best OPS by a 22-year-old in league history, behind only Hall of Famers Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx and Frank Thomas. Sano finished third in American League Rookie of the Year voting in 2015.
